As a young man Richard J. Lee acquired a love for the law while working as a clerk for Judge E.P. Sawyer, father of renowned journalist Diane Sawyer. Before commencing the private practice of law, his formal education  was combined with experience gained in the business world. First, as an Accountant with AAF International, a worldwide corporation, and then in the business department of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., (n/k/a KPMG), then the worlds largest firm of accountants, lawyers and other business professionals, representing numerous Fortune 500 companies, as well as many other business entities around the world.  In 1977  he began his legal career, obtaining legal experience with top commercial law firms in Florida at the time. First, with Tew, Critchlow, Sonberg, Scott & Traum and then Schwartz, Nash, Heckerling, Tescher & Kantor.  In 1982 Richard J. Lee started his own firm, and since then has represented  high profile persons, businesses and corporations from around the world. He has handled very large, complex and difficult business transactions and litigation cases for over 30 years.
